Painting is a slow process. This prolonged reflection seeks out our own experiences and associations, creating a mutable narrative. In painting everyday scenes and landscapes, the mundane becomes a sublime, visceral experience.

Working in oil on canvas, and watercolor on paper, much of my work is inspired by the urban landscape of Chicago. From El tracks to fast food restaurants, I depict the everyday scenes that populate the city and speak to a human experience and find beauty in the mundane.
